Mechanic / Electronics Technician / Plant Technician (m/f/d) in Technical Emergency Service

What we need your support for:

• Monitoring buildings and technical facilities on the DESY site (Bahrenfeld) and the XFEL site (Schenefeld) alternately
• Regular inspection of safety systems and facilities
• Staffing the control center and emergency service in fire protection, first aid, and other emergencies
• Checking and maintaining fire protection equipment and devices
• Special tasks within the DESY emergency management
• Ensuring site security at the Schenefeld location

What sets you apart:

• Experience working with technical systems
• Completed vocational training (preferably) in a metalworking profession or plant engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent expertise, skills, and experience are advantageous
• Training in the field of fire and rescue services such as company paramedic, team leader, and breathing apparatus carrier (FwDV 7) is desirable
• Suitability for wearing heavy respiratory protection (G26.3)
• Teamwork skills and suitability for full shift work
• Class B driver's license
• Basic English and MS Office skills
