What you will do with us

Details about the role and requirements

The final assembly of the A320 family takes place on four production lines - hopefully with you in the future!

Three of our four final lines operate on the flowline principle or in the classic dock construction method. In mid-2018, the 4th line was opened, making it the most modern final line across Airbus with new technologies and a high degree of automation.

We start by connecting the front and rear fuselage sections and assembling the wings, engine mounts, and landing gear. Then, the horizontal and vertical stabilizers are assembled, along with the cabin fittings and the electrical/hydraulic connections between the wings and the aircraft.

Next, the fuel and hydraulic systems are installed and tested. The cabin pressure test is also conducted, and the aircraft's hydraulic system is operated for the first time. Additionally, the cabin fittings, such as carpet installation, seat assembly, door paneling, and oxygen masks, are completed. Finally, the fuel tanks are fully assembled, and the belly fairing is installed. Further tests include wing tank leak tests, flight control system function tests, and cabin equipment tests.

Once an aircraft has passed through the Final Assembly Line (FAL), it is completed. It is then painted and flight-tested before being delivered to the customer.

What are your tasks?

  • Checking and testing, which means preparing/changing programs, running system functions as per order, electrical grounding tests, continuity tests, and GTI including commissioning

  • Documenting work and complaints like Pirbuch or remaining work folio
