Tasks at Geiger

• Carrying out or supporting the necessary inspections/revisions of various shaft hoisting systems
• Maintenance and repair work on the shaft hoisting systems and shafts
• Maintenance and repair work on selected facilities both underground and above ground
• Assisting with project completion (possibly on weekends)
• Rotating on-call duty throughout the week
• Operating the shaft hoisting systems after training and examination
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and instructions

What We're Excited About

• Completed training as a mining mechanic/mining technologist/locksmith/metalworker or similar training
• Good welding skills are advantageous
• Authorization to operate various equipment, e.g., forklifts, is beneficial
• Suitability for working with fall protection both above and below ground
• Good practical and technical understanding
• Reliable and independent work style, as well as team and communication skills
• High motivation, willingness to perform, and recognition of development opportunities
