Tasks at Geiger
- Independently accept and declare waste
- Operate the drive-over scale and process and document the data
- Carefully handle sample retention, material inspections, and documentation of installation sites
- Comply with and implement permit requirements as directed by the landfill manager
- Operate machines like wheel loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and rollers for the installation of mineral waste
- Perform simple technical repairs, machine care, and maintenance
- Record hours, enter data into the waste register, and maintain the operation log on the computer
- Communicate with drivers and customers
- Assist with the maintenance of the leachate system
What we're looking forward to
- Experience as a machine operator (m/f/d)
- Experience as a weighmaster is desirable
- Willingness to attend an asbestos specialist course
- Basic knowledge of waste law (e.g., KrWAbfG, DepV, PN98)
- Confident operation of wheel loaders with attachments and at least a class B driver's license
- Good basic knowledge in operating wheeled excavators, bulldozers, and compaction equipment with a willingness to learn
- Ideally, willingness for occasional assembly assignments
- Independent working style and team spirit
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
