Department Manager (m/f/d) Civil Engineering

We are looking for a Head (m/f/d) of the Civil Engineering Department due to a restructuring, starting as soon as possible. What you can expect from us: • You will be responsible for leading our team in the Civil Engineering Department, as well as developing and managing a department focusing on new road construction, bridge and civil engineering, water law, green spaces, road maintenance, construction and cemetery, and the nursery. • Your main tasks include planning, coordinating and monitoring new road construction and civil engineering projects with specialist planning offices, ongoing maintenance of roads, paths, civil engineering structures and other civil engineering structures. • You will prepare and evaluate tenders from the civil engineering and procurement sectors for the construction yard. • You will also be responsible for creating measurements and invoices, cost estimation and budgetary monitoring of the measures. • You represent the road construction authority. • The preparation of the civil engineering budget for civil engineering and infrastructure measures and cross-departmental cooperation with the aim of implementing projects in a resource-saving, sustainable, environmentally friendly and climate-adapted manner also falls within your area of responsibility. • You will take over the tasks assigned in connection with the municipal supply, construction and service company (VBS) municipal company and a separately remunerated regular on-call duty, depending on the professional qualifications, as part of the provision of basic services. • We reserve the right to change the scope of tasks and rely on your creative impulses. What you bring with you: • You have completed a degree in civil engineering or civil engineering or a comparable field or qualification. • You have extensive knowledge of the VOB, the HOAI and other relevant legal regulations and preferably have experience in the operation of a construction yard. • You work independently with decision-making joy and independence as well as the willingness to take responsibility and to provide work services also outside regular working hours. • You are a team player, have team-oriented leadership skills and are also contact and communication-friendly, are an organizational talent and have negotiation skills. • You are interested in topics such as e-mobility, sponge city concepts, disaster protection and preventive measures for climate consequences. • You are a reliable, committed and trustworthy personality who convinces with their confident and open appearance and with their commitment to an ecological and socially sustainable development of the municipality. • You are proficient in the common office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as the specific professional applications AutoCAD, bec / GIS. • You have a class B driver's license.
