Nikitas Gerolimos

Regarding my technical and personal skills, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Product Design and Innovation. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted my thesis on Creative proposals for future aviation contractions while during my postgraduate studies, I wrote a thesis diploma entitled “Critical review of biomimicry in the field of design”. Moreover, I have professional experience in Design Management, Manufacturing, Product Design, Research and Development. More specifically, I am experienced in designing and manufacturing furniture for branded houses, managing their technical and assembly drawings and performing quality controls. I have also knowledge of 3D design, 3D scanning, 3D printing and laser cutting. Furthermore, I have recently achieved a 1st place award in the Open Data Hackathon 2022. To conclude with, I have 11 years of volunteer experience as a Scout Team Leader, and I am a Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator. I speak fluent Greek, advanced English, and I have basic knowledge of German. In addition, I have deep knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Software such as ERP, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SPSS, SolidWorks, Creo PTC Pro Engineer, 3DS Max, and more. I have also developed soft skills including problem-solving, time management, analytical thinking and leadership skills through my professional experience and education, and I am characterized by my focus and commitment to setting and achieving goals. I am strongly interested in the field of research and development, mainly in terms of design, engineering, and management. My keen interests also include Human-centered, nature-inspired and Sustainable designing. My primary focus is to gain new knowledge and improve the performance of my assigned projects while achieving the organization’s goals. My vision is to develop my skills and knowledge further and support the organization through innovative ideas and high-quality services. I believe that this position is a perfect fit for me as I meet the required skills and knowledge, and my vision is to develop my career further in the Research and Development Sector. I am a fan of lifelong learning, and I am a fast learner, with adaptability, flexibility, and critical thinking skills.
