Your Responsibilities
- 1. Involvement in the early phase of a project
- Leading the project handover meeting with sales and checking the offer for technical feasibility regarding subcontractor services, time coordination, or contractual specifics.
- After the order is placed, joint site inspection with the responsible technician in a supervisory role.
- 2. Managing the execution planning
- Creating the work and assembly planning for plausibility and clarifying any discrepancies with sales if necessary.
- Leading all planning discussions with specialist engineers, clients, and executing companies from the time the order is placed.
- Creating and maintaining an overall schedule.
- Managing subcontractor assignments.
- Ensuring timely material orders within the existing calculation framework.
3. Project management and project controlling (construction execution)
- Scheduling of own employees in consultation with the overall project management.
- Briefing own employees and subcontractors on the project (project kickoff meeting).
- Monitoring construction sites and objects regarding:
- Contract compliance
- Deadlines
- Costs
- Quality assurance
- Occupational safety
- Initiating measures in case of deviations from targets.
- Creating and negotiating amendments with the client in collaboration with sales.
- In case of conflicts between those involved in the construction execution that cannot be resolved by them, the project manager ensures appropriate solutions.
- The project manager serves as the interface between the site manager and branch manager to ensure the existing communication chain.
4. Construction acceptance
- Applying for project acceptance by the responsible authorities or client, managing all necessary activities.
- Monitoring defect rectification before and after construction acceptance.
- Reviewing the documentation created by the site manager and providing support if necessary.
- Conducting the project closing meeting with the responsible site manager or technician.
5. Other tasks
- Participating in monthly and annual financial statements.
- Processing and checking employee time distribution.
- Establishing a standardized project process for quality assurance.
- Conducting team meetings.
- Conducting employee discussions.
- Providing technical leadership of the team and disciplinary leadership of the team in the absence of the team leader or in consultation with the team leader.
Your Profile
- Completed studies in business or electrical engineering or a comparable education with several years of professional experience.
- Class B driver's license (car).
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
- You work reliably and customer-oriented.
- You are interested in independent and responsible work.
- Knowledge of corporate and employee management.
- Knowledge of legal basics, such as BGB, contract law, VOB/B.
- Knowledge of business administration.
- Extensive experience in project management.
- Knowledge of the products used and the respective standards, e.g., for fire alarm systems, DIN VDE 0833 Part 1 and 2, DIN 14675, (standards for general fire alarm technology) DIN 4102 Part 12, as well as the (model) line installation guideline.
