Carry out preparatory work:

• Set up and secure construction sites (e.g., erect construction fences, set up barriers, traffic control devices, etc.)
• Coordinate with those involved in the construction
• Review work orders
• Request or transport, store, or prepare building materials, equipment, and machinery
• If necessary, excavate construction pits and lay sewer pipes for drainage or water barriers

Build scaffolding, formwork, and temporary structures:

• Create or assemble formwork for foundations, pillars, walls, and ceilings according to formwork rules, usually using system formwork, and reinforce according to reinforcement regulations
• Set up protective and working scaffolds, unless this is done by a specialized company

Construct buildings and building parts, masonry work:

• Mix mortar or concrete or supervise the delivery of ready-mixed concrete, mortar, and dry mortar
• Pour concrete for foundations
• Build or pour perimeter and partition walls of basement floors
• Lay and install ceiling beams
• Construct various types of masonry using specific bonding methods from artificial and natural stones or from concrete and precast concrete parts
• Pour concrete for ceilings, walls, lintels, beams, columns, stairs, and other building parts, and assemble prefabricated components
• Erect chimneys, flue pipes, arches, and vaults
• Install concrete or reinforced concrete stairs, especially using prefabricated parts
