The decentralized generation sites department is responsible for operating various energy generation plants distributed throughout the city and partially in the Munich metropolitan region. The technical facilities include geothermal plants, refrigeration plants, and heating plants, among others.

With already six geothermal plants for electricity and heat generation in and around Munich, the SWM are the largest operator of geothermal plants in Germany. Furthermore, the SWM take over the full operational management for external plant operators and provide additional services such as pump changes.

We will cover Munich's district heating demand in a CO2-neutral manner by 2040.

The SWM are focusing on deep geothermal energy and are taking on a technological pioneering role in energy generation nationwide.

What you can achieve with us:

· Consulting of operating personnel in the area of explosion and lightning protection · Performing the duties of the fire protection officer according to VdS 3111 · Contact person for functional safety and CE conformity in the area · Driving digitalization within the operation of decentralized energy generation plants · Preparation of technical inquiries and tenders, contracts for the award of supplies and services · Development of technical specifications for plant operation considering strategic, economic, and legal framework conditions · Development and implementation of technical and organizational measures for the decentralized energy generation sites

This is how you convince us:

· Completed training as an engineer or technician/master, e.g. in the field of electrical engineering with professional experience in the described area of application or equivalent qualification · Training as a fire protection officer and/or explosion protection specialist · Confident appearance as well as good communication and assertiveness · High degree of reliability and personal responsibility · Class B driver's license
