Our equipment, machines and tools

  • Recently, DDM became the proud owner of a Kobelco 260LC-11 with a Stage V engine. This 27-ton crawler crane with a power of 138 kW fits well into DDM's sustainability policy. In addition, the various fuel-saving features help to achieve DDM's sustainability goals. The crane has a spray system, a magnetic system, and no less than 11 attachments that can be mounted on the crane. Some major plus points of this crane are the new innovative model, a larger counterweight, and the advanced warning system. This way, the crane cannot simply fail and no unwanted damage can occur. DDM considers this additional system control valuable for the safety of our employees. The crane will be used in a beautiful project in Cologne. DDM is proud of this new acquisition and can't wait to put this crane into operation worldwide!

  • Recently, DDM's machinery fleet was expanded with excellent material, namely the Hitachi SCX1000A-3. The crane has a working weight of 104 tons, making it one of the cranes with a very high working weight at DDM. The SCX1000A-3 was delivered with a main boom length of 51 meters and a 50-ton hook. The base machine is equipped with a counterweight reduction system and eco-winch for fuel reduction. The crane is environmentally friendly and offers a high level of clean performance thanks to the Stage V engine, the eco-winch, and the idle stop function. These features allow the crane to meet the latest emission regulations and operate with low fuel consumption. When purchasing the crane, of course, DDM's employees were also considered. Design elements such as excellent visibility and an optimal working position help to reduce driver fatigue while simultaneously increasing comfort and functionality to achieve maximum performance. In addition, the crane can be used for various projects as it can be easily transported between different locations. The high degree of transport and assembly significantly improves efficiency on every construction site.

  • Recently, DDM became the proud owner of the Hitachi 890-7 with a Stage 5 engine. The purchase of this crane shows that DDM is looking to the future. Partly due to the clean engine and the sustainability of the crane. In addition, DDM has acquired a heavy hammer, a construction waste rack, and an Epiroc CC6000 with bolt cutter jaws and scrap jaws. The crane has a power output of 382 kW and a working weight of 84,600-87,500 kg. In addition, the crane has versatile features that are suitable for various challenging weather conditions. The excavator is built to work reliably all day. The model is built with reinforced parts that are ideal for tearing down and loading heavy materials. Sustainable and comfortable This crane has less environmental pollution as it consumes up to 20% less fuel compared to previous models. In addition, operators can monitor fuel efficiency with the brand new ECO-meter and thus reduce costs. Of course, our employees are also considered when investing in a crane. The seat of this crane is built in such a way that it reduces employee fatigue. In addition, the crane is designed to have a low noise and vibration level in the cabin. These two factors promote ergonomics and create a more pleasant working environment. Crane use The inauguration of the crane took place during the work to dismantle the arch bridge in Vianen. It was used to cut away pillars of approximately 650 m3. In short, DDM is pleased to share the news about the new crane. This news confirms that DDM is sustainably looking to the future.

  • DDM is sustainable Sustainability is an important issue at DDM. We recently installed solar panels on the roof of our workshop and warehouse. Sustainability is an important issue at DDM. We have focused all our attention on our projects - we think about the use of sustainable materials, efficient energy use, the reuse of equipment and materials, and the highest possible recycling rate - but we also invest in sustainability at our site in De Meern. For example, the lighting in the office building, at the workplace and in the warehouse was replaced by much more efficient LED lighting. We recently installed solar panels on the roof of our workshop and warehouse. The system consists of 174 monocrystalline panels with an expected energy yield of 60,000 kWh per year. This allows us to provide 80% of our electricity at our site in De Meern. This includes the electricity consumption in our own workshop with the consumption for charging the various electric cars. With the purchase of the solar modules, we are not only largely self-sufficient, but also greatly reduce our CO2 emissions.
